David routinely handles civil disputes through all stages of litigation and has successfully tried and arbitrated cases involving issues of breach of contract, negligence, construction defects, alter ego and statutory liens. David has also handled dozens of mediations that resulted in advantageous resolutions of his clients’ disputes prior to trial. David’s pre-trial experience includes extensive law and motion drafting, court hearing attendance, and taking and defending well more than one hundred depositions, including those of party and expert witnesses.
David specializes in business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in construction law. David works closely with project owners, lenders, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, providing them with business and litigation advice at all phases of the project, from drafting and negotiating construction contracts through day-to-day administration, disputes and litigation. In addition to his construction law practice, David handles civil cases dealing with breach of contract, commercial debt collection, corporate and partnership disputes, real property and identity theft. David also has a background in municipal law, providing representation and advice to multiple local cities.
David has been a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department since joining the Firm in 2001 and has been a Preferred Shareholder in the Firm since 2007.
